Trunk or treat is rising in prominence in recent years, as more and more communities dedicate themselves to providing a safer and more reliable spot for young children to gather their candy on Halloween, surrounded by people they can trust. Part of the fun of trunk or treat is decorating your vehicle, so here are some ideas.
All you have to do for this one is get a green tarp with some giant googly eyes, stick some frog legs made of cardboard on the side, and have a long red tarp falling out of the mouth for a tongue.
If you want your theme to expand beyond your vehicle, this can be a fun one. Set up several tables with tablecloths in front of your open trunk, along with some small display cases for “bakery goodies,” or candy. You can nail home the cafe vibes by putting a fake awning on your liftgate.

Stick some caution tape and a biohazard sign around your vehicle, then set up a table with beakers and vials full of water with food coloring. Don’t forget the white coat, gloves, or safety goggles!
This is a pretty simple one for somebody without much time, money, or artistic talent. All it takes is putting some giant vampire teeth on the trunk of your vehicle! You can find ways to spice it up with some giant eyeballs or bat wings.
