The best Christmas lights in the Hutchinson area are often widely advertised, but there are events just a short drive away you won’t want to miss, too. Check out these Christmas light attractions near Hutchinson!
Nights Before Christmas
Each year, the Hutchinson Zoo hosts the Nights Before Christmas where visitors can take in a spectacular light show via holiday train. The HCC automation engineer technology students produce the show each year. Families can take pictures with Santa, drink hot cocoa, and eat cookies while they take in a wonderland of Christmas lights. Nights Before Christmas is open on Dec.7, 8, 14, and 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Zoo members get to enjoy the event for free.
Wichita may be nearly an hour from Hutchinson, but Illuminations is worth every minute on the road. Located in Botanica, The Wichita Gardens, Illuminations may be Kansas’ best Christmas light display. More than a million lights illuminate the garden through Dec. 31. A beautiful fireworks display will close out 2018 in style. Garden members can purchase entry for $7. Non-members can get in for $10.
Holly Jolly Jurassic Holiday
